EVANSVILLE, Wyo. — The fifth-cent tax, and the decision on whether or not to pass it in perpetuity, has been a hotly debated issue of late. Tonight, the Evansville City Council will discuss possible courses of action on the matter.

The regularly scheduled meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Evansville Town Hall, 235 Curtis St. People unable to attend the meeting in person will be able to view a livestream of it on YouTube, which can be found here.

Last month, the Casper City Council voted to show support for instituting the tax in perpetuity, with several members of the public speaking for and against the decision. The matter has also been discussed in Mills City Council meetings, though the Mills council has yet to vote on the matter.
