Sheri Jeanette Daugherty (47) was called home on October 1st 2017; Sheri went peacefully in her home that she shared with her husband Darreld, son Zackery and her 4 super spoiled furbabies.
Sheri was born on March 9, 1970 in San Jose, California to Ronald Mathisen and Mary Lyn Kesting. She was one of three children including her twin brother Tom and older brother Ron.
Her family moved to Casper when she was 13. She attended CY Junior High where she met the love of her life Darreld Daugherty. The two shared a fairy tale love between them, as if two pea’s in a far out pod. They married 05/16/1990 shortly after having their son Zach on March 24th 1990.
Sheri and Darreld celebrated their 27th anniversary in May and were going strong. Sheri, Darreld and Zach called themselves the “Happy Heart Family” and it was obvious. Sheri enjoyed riding her bike, being a Broncos wife, swimming, coloring and giving away her pictures to her loved ones. Sheri was a member of J.R’s Hunt for Life and the Fort Ministries.
Sheri waited tables, worked hard and always put others above herself. Health issues forced her from working after years, but it had zero effect on her “light up a room” and “bubbly” personality and smile. Sheri than took up a new role as the best wife in the world. REALLY just ask her husband. Zach and Darreld adored her almost as much as she adored her kitties and Spud the dog.
Sheri is preceded in death by her mother Mary Lyn Rennich, father Ronald Mathisen, and Spud the Happy Hearts Families Dog, Bo Bo and Copper Sue. Sheri is survived by her husband Darreld, son Zach, her twin brother Tom and older brother Ron Mathisen both of Carlisle, Iowa, sister Briley Lantis and her children Teva, Loral, Izaiah, Devan, Autumn, Lily, Trenton, Jayce-Levi, Ivory April, Larry, A.J. LaVana and Loral all of Casper, Wyoming.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10/8/17 at 3:00pm at the Fort Ministries with Pastor Jim Shade officiating. Located at 4741 W. Yellowstone Highway. Mills, Wyoming. Next to Family Dollar Store.
She will be missed. Sleep with the Angels.
