Terry Ann Burger

Terry Ann Burger of Casper passed away February 12, 2018 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. She fought a vigilant battle with cancer to the very end, but at the end, it was too much.  She is at peace now.

Terry Burger (Haberl) was born in Carroll, Iowa, on November 6, 1959, to Marlind and Charlotte (Nieland) Carter. She graduated from Alta High School in 1978 and continued onto college at Iowa Central Community College. Terry moved to Casper in 1980 to be with her soon to be husband Todd Burger of Alta, Iowa.

On November 28, 1980, Terry married Todd Burger, becoming a loving wife and mother of three.

Over the years, Terry developed many interests including fishing (recently she went ice-fishing in January), boating, camping, cooking and gardening. She was a very active person who cherished being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Terry was preceded in death by her father, Marlind, and her step-father, Kenneth Carter. Survivors include husband Todd of 38 years; her three children, Tyler (Jessica) Burger of Casper, Tamara (Jeff) Thompson of Pace, Florida, daughter Tara Burger (Cody Bughman) of Casper; her mother, Charlotte of Alta, Iowa; brothers Mark (Donna) Haberl of Royal, Iowa, Luke (Nicole) Haberl and Cory Haberl all of Alta, Iowa; sisters, Mary (Burl) Gander of Cushing, Iowa and Gail (Eldon) Finley of Lohrville, Iowa. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Lexus, Ryan, Carsten, and Caleb, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Terry wished to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held later this spring or summer at a yet to be determined time and place. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to Wyoming Medical Center Foundation’s Cancer Care program. She will be forever and dearly missed by her family.
