Anna Stinson

Anna Stinson (Wilson/West)
Anna passed away in her home in Grants Pass, Oregon on November 5, 2018.

Anna was born and raised in Casper Wyoming, graduated Roosevelt High School and was active with adolescent substance abuse treatments, as well as taking in stray animals to rehome.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 28th @ 6 pm at the United Church of Christ, located at 15th and Melrose, followed by a potluck. She is survived by her parents, Scott Stinson and Tina Sterken, and her siblings; Elisha, Jessica, Bethan, and Ezra Stinson.

Marsha K. Magnuson

Marsha K. Magnuson, age 63 died on November 16, 2018 in Casper, WY. She was born on October 16, 1955, in Casper, WY. to Eugene and Margret Hunt. Marsha left Wyoming to start her life’s adventures and moved to California where she lived for about 30 years. There she started a family and gave birth to a business that she loved. After several years of owning her private practice of massage therapy she opened the first massage school in Bakersfield, Ca. She paved the way for the industry in Bakersfield. Many people were inspired by her passion and drive. Holistic health became the cornerstone of her life. She touched many lives; more than she ever knew. After growing her business she sold it to a former student and moved back home where she took care of her mother and grandchildren. She will be remembered.

Left to honor Marsha’s memory is her mother Margret I. Hunt; brothers; Larry Hunt and Steve Hunt; two daughters; Christina Galvan and Olivia Lopez; six grandchildren; Elena Galvan, Adrianna Galva, Cienna Mihalik, Maricilla Valenzuela, Santiago Valenzuela, and Bella Valenzuela, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marsha was preceded in death by her father Eugene S. Hunt; sister, Mary Ellen Donaldson, and nephew, Doug Donaldson.

Funeral services was held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Hilltop Baptist Church, 220 S Pennsylvania Ave Casper, Wyoming with Pastor Rob Peterson officiating.


Harold Allen Mason Sr.

Long-time Casper resident Harold Allen Mason Sr., 70, had a fatal heart attack on Thursday, November 22nd while deer hunting.

He was born January 2, 1948 in Wallace, ID to Charles Richard Mason and Evelyn Wilcox Mason. The family settled in Casper in 1957. On October 13, 1965, Harold married Bernice Hollandsworth and they had four children.

Harold was employed by Natrona County Road and Bridge for more than 34 years, retiring in 2016. Harold enjoyed practical jokes, farming, gardening, hunting, fishing and his family.

Those who will miss his quick wit, wisdom, fellowship and dependable, “love you, buh-bye.” include his siblings: Charles Mason of Casper, Everett “Gene” (Rose Marie) Mason of Vancouver, WA, Jarold “Jack”
Mason of Turner, OR and little sister Dolores (Charles) Lucero of Evansville; two sons; Harold Mason Jr, Duane (Lizzie) Mason, two daughters, Crystal (Scott) Padilla and Amanda Porter both of Casper; his thirteen grandchildren; Brianna, Patrick (Bailey), Tyler, Casey, Leaf, Braden, Rosie Mason, Shannon (Mark) Togstad, David (Emily) Collins, Danielle (Joshua) Berrios, Ean (Harlei), Hope and Aaliyah Porter, as well as thirteen great-grandchildren; dozens of nieces and nephews; and countless others whom he considered family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ralph and grandson Scott.

“Dad didn’t tell us how to live; he just worked hard and taught us all to do the same.”

A memorial service is being planned for Father’s Day weekend.


Henry (Hank) Carsten

Services for Henry (Hank) Carsten, 87, years old will be held Thursday, November 29th at 11:00 A.M. at Bustards Funeral Home.
Henry (Hank) Carsten was born May 27th 1931 in Tecumseh Oklahoma. He passed away from Cancer on November 18th at The Hospice House with his beloved Sweetheart Shirley by his side in Casper, WY.

Hank and Shirley met when they were younger and Hank was a City Bus driver in Casper, and eventually decided they needed to be together for life. The two were married in Depew, Oklahoma on Dec. 31st 1989.
In the Early 70’s Hank worked for Ward Transportation, hauling oil. In the 80’s and 90’s he was an over the road truck driver for PFT Transportation, where they awarded him his own truck and recognized him as a million miler driver. When Hank retired in 1999 he volunteered at the Food Banks of Shawnee Oklahoma where he and Shirley lived. Hank and Shirley moved to Casper in May of this year. Hank did volunteer work for the Food Banks, including Joshua’s Store House, Casper Faith Assembly Of God and Mountain View Baptist Church. He loved giving and caring for people.

Hank is survived by his Wife, Shirley of 29 years. Sons, Anthony Carsten, Jason Carsten (Wife Wendy), Daughter, Doris Glasgow (Husband Richard) all of Casper, WY. Daughter, Kelly Heslep (Husband Kim) of Pasadena, TX and half-sister Linda Fritch (Husband Ron) of Shawnee, Ok. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. Hank is preceded in death by his parents, Herman & Imo Carsten. His brothers, David, Leroy, and Albert Lee Carsten , Lester and Micky Eckhardt, Vicki Bailey his sister Lois Richardson and half sister Flossy Darnell.

Hank tinkered with anything old and could make it like it was brand new. He loved working in his shop, where he made his great grand daughters highchairs. He also made little farm tractors, birdhouses, napkin holders and paper plate holders. He was very talented with wood.

Hank was as kind to animals as he was to everyone he met. He had a heart made of gold. He always had a clean joke and made people laugh. Hank was a One of a kind Gentleman and will be missed by all who was fortunate enough to know him.


Michelle Denise Austin, age 46, Casper, Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in her home. She was born on October 9, 1972 in Salina, Kansas to Dennis and Patricia Horst.

She married Dale Austin May 21, 1995 and is survived by her husband, Dale and her siblings Sheri and Jonathan.

Memorial services will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kindness Ranch, 854 State Hwy 270, Hartville, WY 82215.
