Beth Alexandria Wintermote

Beth Alexandria Wintermote, 58, passed away on January 30, 2019 in Casper, Wyoming after a 6-year battle with cancer.

She was born on June 12, 1960 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. 

On May 12, 1990 Beth married John Wintermote in Riverton, Wyoming. Beth received her bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Beth enjoyed cake decorating, crafts and spending time with her numerous grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband, John Wintermote of Shoshoni, Wyoming; sons, Josh (Tamara) Wintermote of Casper, Wyoming; John (Amber) Wintermote and Seth Wintermote; daughter, Dani Wintermote; granddaughters, Hailee Wintermote and Tiawna Wintermote all of Shoshoni. 

Beth is preceded in death by her mother, Jewell Asmus of Aguilar, Colorado; father, Reuben Asmus; brother, George Tharp of Denver, Colorado; and grandson, Andrew Wintermote of Glenrock, Wyoming. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Shoshoni Senior Center.

Agatha Schossow was born Dec 12,1929 to Christian & Lydia Rasch in Halliday, North Dakota.
She married Chester Schossow on June 17, 1947 in Wibaux, Montana.

She is survived by her children, June Skipper and Charles (Jodie) Schossow of Casper, Grandchildren Dempsey Patrick, Jeremiah (Dawn) Schossow, Sabrina Schossow, and Lindsie (Dustin) Slaymaker all of Casper and seven great-grandchildren.

The last 10 years she has been cared for at home by her grandson Dempsey, daughter June and 2 ½ years by her very special caregiver Nancy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chester, daughters Shirley & Brenda, brothers Albert, Otto, George, Herbert, Roland, and Art; sisters Hilda, Erna & Edna.

Services for Agatha will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Sat. Feb 2nd at 11:00.

JoAnn Mavis Cowlthorpe, 88, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019. JoAnn was born on June 7, 1930 in Norfolk, NE to Glenn and Lulu Fitch. The family moved to Omaha and later Billings, MT, then to Cody, WY where she graduated from high school. She married Clarence E. “Sonny” Cowlthorpe on August 30, 1946. They lived in Powell, WY. From 1947 until 1948 they lived in Denver, CO, while Sonny attended electronics school. After his education, they moved to Powell, WY until 1951 when they moved to Casper, WY.

JoAnn worked as a Bookkeeper in various businesses in Casper. 

She loved her family and enjoyed all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies were sewing, crafts, gardening, and decorating. She was a longtime member of the Hilltop Baptist Church and enjoyed helping with different projects.

JoAnn is survived by her daughter; Priscilla Williams of Casper, WY and son, Ron (Diane) Cowlthorpe of Denver, CO; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchild and numerous other friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Sonny; granddaughter, Amy Cowlthorpe; and grandson, Bin Christopher Williams.

Violet Gail Christopherson, age 82, of Casper, passed away January 28, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Violet was born a twin on March 19, 1936, on a homestead outside of Willard, Colorado, to Frank and Blanche (Sevic) Hnizdil. Violet graduated from Marino High School in 1954. Violet went to Denver, Colorado, shortly after her High School graduation and attended School at St. Anthony Hospital to obtain her Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate. Violet was working in a jewelry store in Sterling, Colorado, and there she met Phillip Christopherson, who swept her away. They got married on December 12, 1956. Violet and Phil had 3 children and settled down in Casper, Wyoming and together they built, owned and operated PC Transport. After 37 years of marriage and the loss of her husband, she became President of PC Transport until her passing. Violet enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and artifact hunting on her ranches in Ten Sleep and in the Big Horns. Violet had a great love for gardening and spending time with her family. Violet was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 37 years, Phil Christopherson, sister, Anna Lee, brothers, Frank, Tom, and Chuck. Violet was survived by her sons, Phillip (Lori) Christopherson, Kevin (Ruth) Christopherson, daughter, Gail (Ab) Christopherson-Brown, 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, twin-brother, Vernon Hnizdil, siblings, Addie and Paul, and longtime companion, Jack Fauber, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7th and Missouri Chapel, 2627 E 7th St, Casper, WY 82609. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 1:00pm at Meeteetse Cemetery.
