Dorothy Geneva McNare

Dorothy Geneva McNare: 1945 – 2021

Dorothy Geneva McNare, 75, of Casper, Wyoming passed away April 19, 2021 peacefully at home.  

Dorothy was born August 31, 1945 in Pratt, Kansas to Fred and Geneva (Maney) Amende, Sr.  Her family moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where she attended school.  Dorothy graduated from Natrona County High School in 1963.

After graduation she went to college for two years at Billings State College in Montana.  After college she returned to Casper and went to work for Bi-Rite Drug until 1984.  She worked for Target from 1984 until she retired in 2011.  

She Married Art McNare on October 1, 1971 at the Congregational Church in Casper, Wyoming.  They had one son, Sam McNare.

She enjoyed working and collecting coins with her brother Fred Amende, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.  

She is survived by her husband, Art McNare, son Sam McNare of Casper, Wyoming and step-son Shane McNare of Scottsville, Kentucky, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday April 26, 2021 at 2:00 P. M. at Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home with a reception at Bustards Reception Center following services.  Graveside services will be April 27 at 11:00 at the Recluse Cemetery.  Cremation has taken place

In lieu of flowers donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated.


Kathryn Jean Reddon

Kathryn Jean Reddon: 1943 – 2021

Kathryn Jean Reddon, age 78, of Casper Wyoming, passed on to Heaven peacefully April 13, 2021 in her home with her family.

She was born to John L. Davison II and Helen L. Davison on January 12, 1943 in Lander Wyoming. She is preceded in death by both parents and brothers; Peter and Jackie L. Davison of Riverton, sister; Virginia Davison of Lander and is survived by her spouse John (Jack) D. Reddon; along with two biological children; John Allen Welch of Shoshoni Wyoming and Rhonda Kay Welch-Curry of Gillette Wyoming, as well as, her three children Chris Reddon of Nevada, Mark Reddon of Nevada, Sheri Reddon of Texas, eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Kathryn, known as Kathy, grew up in Lander Wyoming, spent some time in Wisconsin, then later moved back to Wyoming where she met her lifelong partner, Jack, in Riverton. She graduated beauty school and married Jack January 18th, 1969. They spent 52 years together in Casper.

She loved the outdoors, loved to fish, gamble and travel with her spouse. She loved to garden and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a hard worker, owned her own business – Kathy’s Beauty Salon for many years and also worked as the cafeteria manager over 20 years for Natrona County School District where she had retired with honors. She had also dedicated many hours of her off-time helping to build the Casper speedway, for years she managed the gates and concessions on weekends.

Kathy made many friends in her lifetime, everyone she met loved her, as she was the most kindhearted person one could ever meet. She will be greatly missed.

Kathy was a strong woman, a great friend, and a devoted wife and mother. She had accepted Christ into her heart knowing that her Everlasting Home is in Heaven. She spent her final days peacefully with family at her side.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Newcomers Funeral Home of Casper and a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date listed on the Newcomer website www.newcomercasper.com.
