Beverly Ann Dunlap was born September 20, 1958 in Casper, Wyoming. She entered into rest May 8, 2022 in Colorado. Beverly was born to Ellen Crowson and William McClean. She attended Natrona County High School, Casper College, and the University of Wyoming, where she worked on her nursing degree, receiving her RN in 1982 and continuing on to receive her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1998.
During her life she worked for the Natrona County Health Department. She also used her talents in the offices of Dr. Harland Meyers, Dr. Rowan Tichenor, and the Wyoming Medical Center.
Bev married Scott Dunlap on September 20, 1980, spending 41 years together. To this union two sons were born, William and Jeffrey. She also loved her pets, who usually had at least two names.
She loved being outside in the sunshine, and spent most of her time out in the garden. She always had a fishing pole down at the river with a worm from the garden. You could hear her across the river calling the dogs in with her trademarks. She loved taking walks with Scott and the dogs.
Her grandkids were the light of her life. Every one of them had many a sink bath and she would do just about anything to make them happy. She loved cooking with Nevaeh and could cook about everything. Watching the boys play outside brought her many happy days.
Bev also loved being on the beach. Many summer weekends she took her kids and grandkids to Alcova. She also loved her Mexico trips. She always had a special spot with a book listening to the tide.
Bev started working at the Casper Natrona County Health Department in January 1998. She worked over the years in the Maternal Child Health Department and the Disease Prevention Clinic. She was known as the expert shot giver to all ages. She evolved her skills over time to meet the needs of all the patients she served. Bev was a reliable constant and a familiar face for patients over the years, affectionately known by her co-workers as “Bevy”. Bev embarked on her retirement after 24 years on April 29, 2022. This is a tremendous loss to her co-workers and all of the patients she served. Bev left a mark on the health department and her knowledge and expertise will live on through the services they provide for years to come.
