Sandra Kathleen Cheesman: 1947 – 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Cheesman, 76, announces the passing of Sandy on August 27, 2023. Sandy passed away peacefully surrounded by many of her loved ones in Casper, Wyoming and will be profoundly missed by not just her family but the entire community all together.
She will be lovingly remembered for her vivacious attitude and unwavering love for all those who were blessed to meet her.
Sandy was a fierce mother whose integrity, love and compassion reached many throughout her years. As a mother, Sandy was a passionate hunter and outdoors woman who inspired many to participate in the sport as well. Many would describe Sandy as a beautiful, motherly soul whose love and heart held an entire community together. Her smile would light the darkest of days; her motherly love would hold you warmly while her witty wisdom would bring you happiness when you felt hopeless. She found great joy during the holidays with her decorating, parties and bringing everyone together. She was a beautiful, strong mother whose soul, love and heart held an entire community together.
Sandy’s public viewing will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 710 E Second Street Casper, Wyoming 82601, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral to follow at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, located at 80 Veterans Dr Evansville, Wyoming 82636 on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life reception for Sandy to follow immediately after the services.
Sandy is survived by son Jay Sims, with children, Lawson Sims and Shaylen Sims; son James Cheesman, with wife Megan Cheesman and child Winnie; Charles Cheesman with children, Emmet and Jackson Cheesman; George Cheesman, with wife Robin Cheesman and children, Amanda and Cassandra; John Cheesman and children, Ty, Katie, and Michael Cheesman; Georgia Kendall, with children, Adam, Justin and Kimberley; husband AJ and children; Mechelle Rathbun, with children; Natasha Staudinger and husband Troy Staudinger; Jarrod Rathbun and wife Cassie; RaNee Knowlton and husband Gary, with child Jennifer; John Teeter and wife Shayla Teeter; sister Patricia Sims, with children Champ; Melody Carter with husband David Carter, with children Casey and John; Alex Gorman and husband Jeremy Gorman; brother Kirby Sims and wife, Valentina Sims.
