Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I wanted to alert you that I have resigned from the Casper Mountain Fire District Board over concerns relative to a recent law enforcement investigation into missing and misappropriated money prior to my time on the board. I am sharing this so you all understand why I vacated the vacancy I was appointed to fill last summer.
It has been a privilege and an honor to serve our mountain community. I would consider running to be elected to the board in the future when the steps suggested by the investigating detective have been implemented, i.e., an audit of the department’s books and/or new bank accounts at new banks, and there are no sitting board members who served at the time the money appears to have gone missing.
