In addition to Oil City News’s Candidate Questionnaires, candidates are welcome to submit one Letter to the Editor related to their campaign. Letters to the Editor are published for free. Subsequent letters will be paid campaign advertisements and marked as such.

I am Terry Wingerter running for a four-year term as a Natrona County Commissioner.

As many of you know, I’ve been a commissioner as well as a city councilman. My last elected position was eight years ago.

In the last eight years, I’ve been attending most of the commissioner work sessions so I do know what has been going on in our county. One of the big issues is the current property taxes. I will work to help settle these “unheard of” assessments. I will work with our legislators on this problem.

I will also work to improve and maintain our recreation areas including our mountain, lakes, river plus the concerns of a larger Natrona County Health building and new library. I will always be available to listen to the concerns of the public and will continue to diligently work for solutions.

I’m eager to serve the citizens of Natrona County and would appreciate your vote in the primary on Aug. 16. Remember, experience counts and I have the time and energy to get the job done.

Terry Wingerter

4-year Republican candidate for Natrona County Commissioner
