Dear Casper,

In the near distant past, when the Casper community had breaking news I could easily get information. Snow storm, what was open and breaking news on closures, turn on the AM Radio and tune into K2. Nothing close to what Brian Scott or even Bob Price would supply. Some other already canned program.

The rain storm we had on Thursday provided another example of lack of info. K2, nothing. My wife checked Facebook and got a little info. Watch the evening TV news at 5, nothing. Even at 10, nothing. Homes being washed off foundations and intersections or interstates closed seemed like breaking news. Casper Star Tribune Friday e-edition, nothing.

Anyway, maybe I am too old and traditional. I miss the old days of local news. Thank Oil City News for being an option.
