CASPER, Wyo. — Do you have what it takes to be a Lego Master? Toy Town is calling all children who love Legos to get creative and build something to compete with in Toy Town’s 34th annual Lego contest. It will be held August 9-13, with judging on August 14.

At home, contestants need to model with only Legos, and then they can bring it to Toy Town’s location at 130 Wolcott St. in downtown Casper. Models can be submitted during regular business hours (10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday). Models should not exceed 24″ by 24″ at the base.

There are multiple age groups and prizes are given at each level! The levels for contestants are 6 and under, 7-9, 10-12, and 13 and up. First-, second-, and third-place prizes will be given out for each age group. There is also an overall “Best of Show” award that will be given out. Every participant will receive a certificate, special goodie, and Toy Town Lego Master t-shirt.

Entries are judged on creativity, stability, color, unique use of bricks, storytelling and originality, among other criteria. Kids can build anything that they want, from scenes at the pool to pandas. Their only limitation is their imagination — and of course the 24″ diameter. With that said, get those young ones involved and start the creative juices flowing! Every child is encouraged to participate no matter their age or skill level.

Every year, Toy Town sees around 100 entries as well as a lot of talent. Every child brings in their own story and creativity. These robust creations will be on display and judged on August 14. The prizes will include more Legos and other fun toys.
