Are you age 55+ and looking for a way to give back to your community? Here is your chance to join in partnership to rid our communities of COVID-19.

The Serve Wyoming 55+ Volunteer Initiative, Wyoming 211, and the Casper Natrona County Health Department have joined together to provide 55+ volunteers the unique opportunity to participate in and support the Vaccine Confidence Program and ongoing COVID response efforts. This program seeks to communicate clear, reliable information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine to individuals in the community so they may make informed and empowered decisions for themselves and their families regarding the vaccine.

Response volunteers can serve through remotely answering COVID Hotline calls and performing contact tracing or serve on the front lines assisting at vaccination clinics and COVID testing sites.

There will be an informational meeting about the Vaccine Confidence and COVID Response programs at the Casper Senior Center on Tuesday, September 28 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

Carol Gooden-Rice is Wyoming 211’s program coordinator for the Vaccine Confidence program. She has this to say about the program: “We will be working to identify key issues within each community that contribute to the lack of vaccine confidence and assist in addressing those issues that are unique to each community to increase vaccine confidence and better inform vaccine decisions for individuals.”

ServeWyoming’s 55+ Volunteer Initiative seeks to support these goals and provide volunteers age 55+ with NEW, meaningful service opportunities.

If you are interested in or have questions about volunteering for these projects, please contact Vicki Pollock at 307-234-3428 or by emailing Vicki@servewyoming.org.

Be sure to join us at the Casper Senior Center on September 28, 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. to learn more.
