The Casper Pride Guide: Improving health and wellness in the LGBTQ+ community

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Pride Guide was created to connect the LGBTQ+ community to providers in ways not possible before. Through physical and mental health resources, we are building a place where individuals can find high-quality care and support without judgement, fear, or worry about not receiving proper care based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Finding a trusted healthcare provider can be difficult, but the Casper Pride Guide just made it easier. Funded through a Casper-Natrona County Health Department grant, the Casper Pride Guide is constantly adding resources for the Queer community to the new casperprideguide.com website, and we are interested in adding more!

Health disparities related to the LGBTQ+ community are largely attributed to anti-LGBTQ+ stigma, discrimination, and prejudice. Of our LGBTQ+ community in Natrona County, only 20% have reported accessing services related to their health needs. Creating a place where vetted healthcare providers can be easily accessed supports our mission to improve the health and well-being of the Queer community.

Trusted providers can be powerful and effective voices in the LGBTQ+ movement and we want you to join us in strengthening our connections in this community so that everyone has a seat at the table to receive the healthcare they need.

Interested in becoming a referred, trusted provider? Contact Casper Pride Guide to get started. In addition to finding your business on the Casper Pride Guide website, users can also find other resources for a variety of health-related issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community.

Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. Help to empower your LGBTQ+ neighbors by getting involved today. We are excited to get connected with you!
