CASPER, Wyo. — Casper Medical Imaging and Outpatient Radiology (CMI) has grown their practice and outreach to better serve Natrona County and the people in Wyoming who come to Casper for their care.
While providing great medical services and images, CMI did not go unnoticed by national accreditations groups. According to a member of the staff Ashley Anton, “The American College of Radiology (ACR), the largest and oldest imaging accrediting body in the U.S. and a professional organization of 34,000 physicians, has awarded Outpatient Radiology gold seals of accreditation in multiple advanced imaging modalities.”
The ACR gold seals mean more than just an approval from a national company, because when you see the seal, you can rest assured that your prescribed imaging test will meet the highest level of imaging quality and radiation safety.
In order to achieve the ACR Gold Standard of Accreditation, CMI’s facility underwent a rigorous review of personnel qualifications, equipment requirements, quality assurance, and quality control procedures. Through the facilities hard work and dedication to patient care they met all specific qualifications.
Every aspect of the ACR accreditation process was overseen by board-certified, expert radiologists and medical physicists in advanced diagnostic imaging. It is no small feat that CMI was able to achieve this, and it is important for patients to understand the significance.
By awarding the facility the status of a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, the ACR recognizes breast imaging centers that have earned accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast magnetic resonance imaging, and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy).
Breast Imaging Center of Excellence offers and performs multiple breast imaging procedures under one roof. To schedule an appointment call 307-232-5012 or check out their website and request an appointment.
