CASPER, Wyo. — The 2023 Casper Start-Up Challenge is in its final week of accepting applications, and entrepreneurs in the Casper area are encouraged to participate. This year’s challenge offers an exciting opportunity for innovative minds to bring their ideas to life and take their businesses to the next level. The Challenge is run by IMPACT 307, a business development program of the University of Wyoming which has business incubators in Laramie, Casper, and Sheridan.
The 2023 Casper Start-Up Challenge is a program designed to support and promote innovative startups and entrepreneurs. The program provides a platform for participants to showcase their ideas and assist with the economic development of Natrona County.
“We’re thrilled to announce the 2023 Casper Start-Up Challenge,” said Eric Schlidt, IMPACT Casper’s Director. “This program is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and receive the support they need to grow their businesses. We’re confident that this year’s participants will bring some amazing companies to the table and help drive the local economy forward.”
“While applications are accepted until February 8th, we encourage everyone to submit early,” said Schlidt. “Our team is reading these applications daily and providing feedback to the entrants to strengthen their submissions. The application is free, simple and easy for anyone with an entrepreneurial idea.”
The application period will close February 8th. The competition will culminate in a pitch competition, where participants will present their businesses to a panel of judges, who will then select the winners based on criteria such as viability and potential for growth.
IMPACT Casper is very proud to announce the growth of the seed fund to $100,000 through generous local donations including the TW Foundation. “The community has really shown the desire to grow and work with more entrepreneurs and we cannot be more pleased,” said Eric Schlidt. “This year we are hosting the final pitch night at Casper College and as always, we are excited about the work their students and faculty can bring to this event.”
The 2023 Casper Start-Up Challenge is open to innovative entrepreneurs from all industries and backgrounds. For more information on the program and how to apply, visit impact307.org/casper-challenge.
