Wyoming State Auditor Kristi Racines announced in a press release the debut of a “transparency website that provides an online checkbook of Wyoming state expenditure data.”

The website www.wyopen.gov, made its debut during a meeting on June 5th and is being made public today, according to the release.

The release says WyOpen was developed the site internally at the Wyoming State Auditor’s Office and contains information on payments made by the State of Wyoming through the Wyoming Online Financial System.

The site gives users the ability to “search, view and download expenditure data by state agency, vendor name, vendor location and expenditure category.”

The payments visible so far are from January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019.

“Putting Wyoming’s checkbook online is a critical step in ensuring Wyoming taxpayers understand how our public funds are spent,” said Racines in the release.
