The release says the East Entrance Road over Sylvan Pass will open on Sunday, December 22.
The road from the park’s north entrance in Gardiner, Montana, through Mammoth Hot Springs to Cooke City, Montana, is plowed and open to all vehicles through the year.
The YNP says closures can happen due to weather, and that park lodging and services are limited during the winter.
