CASPER, Wyo — A pedestrian was struck and killed last Wednesday, Sept 23 near the Rimrock Tire Company east of Powell, Wyoming, according to Wyoming Highway Patrol.
75-year-old Dennis Brophy was walking east on the sidewalk when the driver of a Toyota Camry failed to notice him while making a right hand turn west onto Coulter Avenue. After striking the pedestrian, a passerby started honking their horn at the Camry.
“The driver of the Camry then exited the vehicle and looked around his vehicle. The driver failed to see the pedestrian trapped under his vehicle,” Highway Patrol said. “The driver then started to drive off again before coming to a stop a short distance later.”

Oil City News has contacted Highway Patrol for more information regarding the status of the driver of the Camry. He was not injured, according to the report.
