National Signing Day: Take a peek at the Wyoming football players signed for the 2022 class

Wyoming football coach Craig Bohl’s 2022 recruiting class has officially been nailed down.

With the beginning of the national letter-of-intent signing period kicking off Wednesday, 15 players from nine different states inked signatures to play for the Cowboys starting next year.

“With the changing landscape of college football, we’re excited about the 15 high school players who we signed,” Bohl said in a release from the team. “Our coaches have worked hard in putting together this recruiting class. These young men are all bought in to play for the Cowboys. They will have a tremendous impact on the future of Wyoming football.”

Below is a who’s who of the Pokes’ newest crop of high school recruits that’ll begin work in Laramie soon.


ISSAC SCHOENFELD

TE, 6’5″, 220 lbs., Rock Springs, Wyoming (Rock Springs HS)

Rating: Three stars (247Sports), two stars (Rivals)

Other offers: Montana State

Prep accomplishments: Made WHSAA Class 4A title game with Rock Springs this fall. Named a 4A All-State selection and the No. 1 overall 2022 recruit in the state of Wyoming per 247 Sports.


CAYDEN HAWKINS

LB, 6’2″, 190 lbs., Highlands Ranch, Colorado (Valor Christian HS)

Rating: Two stars (Rivals), no stars (247Sports)

Prep accomplishments: Made CHSAA Class 5A title game with Valor Christian as it went 13–1 overall. State champion track star with his school’s 4×200-meter relay team.


CADEN BECKER

Prep accomplishments: Went 8–4 in one year with Nebraska prep football powerhouse after transferring from Burke HS in Omaha.


JAGGER FILIPPONE

Prep accomplishments: Torrey Pines went 6–4 in Filippone’s senior year as the big man play on both sides of the line.
