CASPER, Wyo. — Pathways Innovation Center has been awarded a $25,000 grant to support career and technical education opportunities for students in the Natrona County School District.
NCSD says the grant from the Wyoming Department of Education will be used:
- to fund a 10-hour OSHA certification for students
- a one week Local Careers Exposure
- a one week woodworking unit
- a one week construction unit
“The intent of the grant is to ready students to enter the market and to ensure a seamless collaboration with industry partners,” NCSD adds.

The grant will also support job shadow opportunities, interviews and “an opportunity to work with an employer exclusive from the district.”
Details of how the funding will be used are as follows:
The NCSD Board of Trustees formally accepted the grant during their Tuesday, Sept. 28 meeting.
“The grant will be under the direction of Lucas Dow, Assistant Principal, and Norm Cox, Director of Grants, curriculum and instruction,” NCSD adds.
