A Yellowstone National Park visitor was injured after approaching a bison in the Old Faithful Upper Geyser Basin.
According to a release from Yellowstone National Park communications, the incident happened today, Wednesday, after a woman approached the animal and was knocked to the ground.
Park emergency personnel responded and the woman refused to be transported to a medical facility.

The incident is under investigation, according to the release.
This is the first incident of a bison vs. visitor this season. The park only recently opened for day trips with many restructions during the coronavirus era.
