LARAMIE, Wyo. — Following a 2022–23 season in which he cemented himself as one of the best quarterbacks currently playing in the NFL, former University of Wyoming standout and current Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen has been named the next cover athlete for the upcoming installment of the “Madden” video game franchise, “Madden 24.”
Allen is the first Bills player to receive the coveted honor of being featured on the game’s cover, and is the fifth quarterback in the past six years to be featured on the cover. Other QBs highlighted in recent years have been Baltimore Raven Lamar Jackson, Kansas City Chief Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady, who appeared twice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots.
This past season, Allen threw for 4,283 yards and 35 touchdowns. His touchdown total was tied for the second-most among QBs.
Allen took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to express gratitude for the honor, calling it “a childhood dream come true.”
The game is set to release Aug. 18.
