CASPER, Wyo. — The schedule for the Monday candidate interviews to fill the Casper City Council vacancy is now available.

“Monday, August 5th the Council will hold a special meeting to interview and appoint a Councilmember to fill the Ward III vacancy,” the City’s Clerk’s office announced. “The agenda and materials for this meeting can be found here.”

The candidates will be interviewed in the following order:

  • 4:40 – 4:50 p.m. Tanis Lovercheck-Saunders
  • 4:50 – 5:00 p.m. Ed Opella
  • 5:00 – 5:10 p.m. Terry Wingerter
  • 5:10 – 5:20 p.m. Stephen Cathey
  • 5:20 – 5:30 p.m. James Bell
  • 5:30 – 5:40 p.m. Christopher Dresang
  • 5:40 – 5:50 p.m. Jeff Goetz
  • 5:50 – 6:00 p.m. 10 MINUTE BREAK
  • 6:00 – 6:10 p.m. Sarah Szewczyk
  • 6:10 – 6:20 p.m. Tammy Haverlock
  • 6:20 – 6:30 p.m. Keith Goodenough
  • 6:30 – 6:40 p.m. Peter Owen
  • 6:40 – 6:50 p.m. Robert Johnson
  • 6:50 – 7:00 p.m. Emily Kendall

As shown, each candidate will be allowed 10 minutes to answer the same set of five questions.

The City Council members then plan to go into an executive session and select a candidate. They will then appoint that individual to fill the vacancy left by former Councilman Chris Walsh’s resignation.
