CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County School District took a moment on Wednesday to express gratitude to staff who “have been working diligently to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students and school families.”

“Thank you to all bus drivers, bus aides, transportation staff members, crossing guards, educational support personnel, and all others for your terrific work today, and each day,” NCSD said.

The district says that NCSD Transportation are working to ensure student and staff safety, both in terms of transportation and COVID-19. The district said they are working to meet state and local health guidelines.

NCSD is also asking that the public help ensure the safety of students and staff.

“We want to remind you of some very important bus safety tips regarding school busses, school zones, and more,” NCSD said. “Please avoid distracted driving, be aware of designated speed zones, and pay careful attention when driving near schools, crosswalks, and school buses.”

“And don’t forget: whether you are in front of or behind a school bus, if the red flashing lights are on or the stop sign is out, you must stop. It’s the law. These laws are in place to protect our students and our community.”
