CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Rescue Mission said Friday that it has been able to secure $303,699.46 after people in the community donated over $150,000 matched by donations from three charitable organizations.

The Zimmerman Family Foundation, the McMurry Foundation and the Martin Family Foundation pledged to provide a match donation if the community was able to raise $150,000 for the Wyoming Rescue Mission’s annual May Match Challenge.

The money will help the mission provide hot meals, beds, case management and its Discipleship Recovery Program services to people struggling with homelessness, according to the Mission’s press release. The Mission expects to provide over 15,000 meals and over 10,000 nights of shelter this summer.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generous partnership of the Casper community and from around Wyoming to meet the Zimmerman Family Foundation’s, McMurry Foundation’s and Martin Family Foundation’s giving Matching Challenge to restore homeless lives through Wyoming Rescue Mission,” Brad Hopkins, executive director of Wyoming Rescue Mission, said. “Hundreds of struggling lives will be profoundly changed and transformed as a result. Thank you.”
