CASPER, Wyo. — A vigil for Robert Dean Maher Jr., the 14-year-old who died in a violent attack earlier this week, has been set for Thursday night at David Street Station.

The Bobby Maher Candlelight Vigil group established on Facebook says the event will run from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.

Real candles cannot be used, organizers said. Battery-operated candles and glow sticks will be available, and people can bring their own.

“Blue is Bobby’s favorite color so please bring blue lights, and wear blue for Bobby and his family,” the post said.

Oil City News reached out to David Street Station for further confirmation. The page organizer said the event has been approved by the city.

A GoFundMe for the Maher family has also been established.
