CASPER, Wyo. — The sixth annual Festival of Hope, sponsored by local nonprofit J.R.’s Hunt for Life, will provide the community with fun and games for all ages as well as suicide prevention and other mental health resources from area professionals.

This year’s festival is fast approaching, scheduled for May 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lyric in downtown Casper, 230 W. Yellowstone Highway.

The day will include free resources from local mental and physical health providers, who will be giving out educational materials on ways to combat depression and suicidal ideation. People will also be able to enjoy mini therapy horses and therapy dogs on site, food and face painting, a prayer tent and more. There will also be live music courtesy of Chad Lore.

The event is superhero-themed, and children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite heroes and heroines.
