CASPER, Wyo. — The USA Gasoline convenience store will reportedly close for possible demolition.

According to a person at the store who declined to be named, employees received notice this week that the store will permanently close on March 19.

USA Gasoline was formerly owned by Tesoro Corp., which was acquired by Marathon Petroleum Corp. A representative from the company said in an email to Oil City News that the company doesn’t own or operate the USA Gasoline store in Casper. Marathon Petroleum had been rebranding USA Gasoline stores as its Speedway brand before selling their stores to the Texas-based 7-Eleven corporation in 2021.

According to Natrona County Assessor records, the USA Gasoline property at 1010 CY Ave. is currently owned by 7-Eleven Inc.

Oil City News reached out to 7-Eleven’s media representatives Tuesday morning but did not hear back by publication time.
