CASPER, Wyo. — Since opening roughly a year ago, Babe and Ruthie Boutique has become a popular local source of fashionable clothing and jewelry. Now, the owners are opening a children’s clothing store only a few doors down in the Sunrise Shopping Center.
Owner Dee Zeidler said the idea to add children’s clothing to Babe and Ruthie’s catalog was developed in response to several requests by customers. It soon became clear that space would not allow for them to add children’s clothes at the existing 4330 S. Poplar St. location, and so the hunt was on for a second location.
“We had a bunch of people say to us, ‘We just wish you also sold kids clothes,'” Zeidler said. “We decided to open a new boutique aimed specifically at that.”
With a vision in mind, the owners of Babe and Ruthie began looking for a suitable location. At first, they weren’t having any luck, Zeidler said, but when space opened up in the Sunrise Shopping Center just a few doors down from the existing boutique, they knew they had to jump at the opportunity.
Thus, Babe and Ruthie KIDS was born.
The new store includes a wide variety of options for children ranging in age from newborn to roughly 10–12, Zeidler said. She added that the boutique’s selection will only continue to grow in the coming weeks and months as more items are added.
“We don’t cater to only one style,” she said. “We want to offer a wide selection so that people with all different styles can find what they’re looking for.”
Babe and Ruthie KIDS is located at 4230 S. Poplar St. in the Sunrise Shopping Center.
