CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon announced on Wednesday, May 20 that the state has received a shipment of personal protective equipment from China.

“A donation of Personal Protective Equipment arrived last night from Wyoming’s sister province – Shaanxi,” Gordon said on Facebook.

Gordon did not state the amount of PPE which had been included in the donation.

“Thank you to the people of that province who have worked with Wyoming over the years, Wyoming Office of Homeland Security, Nathan Nicholas and Bryan Pedersen for their efforts to get this gift of masks, goggles and gowns from China to Wyoming communities,” the governor added.

Gordon announced in April that Taiwan had donated 50,000 medical-grade masks to help with Wyoming’s response to the pandemic amid shortages of PPE in the United States.
