CASPER, Wyo. — Casper-area residents may need to contend with some wet and chilly weather over the coming weekend, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service in Riverton.

Today, the NWS in Riverton reports a 40% chance of scattered showers, mainly after 10 a.m. Skies will likely remain cloudy throughout the day, and temperatures are only expected to reach a high of around 48 degrees. East-northeast winds are expected to move through the area at 11–20 mph, with gusts as strong as 30 mph possible.

At night, the area will again see a 40% chance of precipitation, with scattered showers possible before midnight. After sundown, temperatures should fall to a low of around 36 degrees, the NWS in Riverton reports.

The 40% chance of showers continues on Sunday, with the NWS in Riverton reporting that rain will likely begin after noon. Temperatures will be slightly warmer, with a high of 61 in the forecast. Only light winds are expected during the day.
