CASPER, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Riverton’s forecast for the start of the coming week features bright, sunny days followed by nights with chances for rain and a wintry mix.

Today, there is a 20% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms beginning in the late afternoon, after 3 p.m. The day will be mostly sunny, though, with a high temperature of roughly 58 degrees. Moderately strong winds could gust as strong as 20 mph.

At night, scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through the region before midnight, followed by isolated showers between midnight and about 3 a.m. Nighttime temperatures are expected to fall to a low of around 39 degrees.

Monday is expected to be sunny and fairly comfortable, with a high near 67 degrees during the day. Conditions may feel chillier due to how windy the day is expected to be, however, with a west wind blowing at 18–28 mph and gusting at up to 41 mph.

After dark, however, the NWS in Riverton predicts scattered showers to give way to a wintry mix of rain and snow past midnight. Temps are expected to fall to a low of about 35 degrees.

Tuesday’s forecast is similar to the day before’s, with a sunny afternoon leading into a wet night of rain and a wintry mix. Tuesday’s high temp is 60 degrees, with a low of roughly 37. At night, winds could gust at up to 55 mph, the NWS in Riverton reports.
