A Cheyenne spa owner and employee have reportedly been arrested and recommended on charges of Prostitution following what Cheyenne Police describe as “an extensive investigation.”

An announcement from Cheyenne PD sent to media Thursday morning, says he arrests are the result of an investigation that began in April 2021, involving the Cheyenne PD’s Community Action Team and the Federal Bureau of investigation.

The spa was described as being located on the 600 block of West Lincolnway in Cheyenne.

“It was determined that workers at the spa were offering and performing sexual acts in exchange for money,” the Cheyenne PD release said. “On May 20, 2021, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a search warrant was executed at the business, resulting in the owner and worker being taken into police custody.”

Both individuals were recommended for charges of Prostitution. Additionally, the owner was recommended for a charge of Promotion of Prostitution, a felony in Wyoming.

“It is the CPD’s primary objective when investigating crimes related to the commercial sex industry, to identify and recover victims of human trafficking,” the Cheyenne PD statement continued.

The Cheyenne PD goes on to explain the Community Action Team is responsible for investigating cases that require “specialized police work and routinely conduct human trafficking investigations.”
