CASPER, Wyo. — Four people convicted of charges relating to their involvement in a statewide conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine have been issued prison sentences, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Wyoming said in a press release Tuesday.

The four people convicted in the drug distribution case include:

  • Roland Brauburger, 42, of Cheyenne
    • Sentenced to 180 months in prison
  • Kirsten Kay Sarratt, 26, of Cheyenne
    • Sentenced to 70 months in prison
  • Henry Guitierez III, 36, incarcerated at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institute in Torrington
    • Sentenced to 71 months and 8 days in prison
  • John Oliver Clark, 43, of Casper
    • Sentenced to 77 months in prison

The investigation into the case began in fall 2020, when law enforcement became aware that Brauburger was distributing controlled substances in multiple Wyoming cities, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Wyoming.

“Through the cooperative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation on the Safe Trails Task Force, the investigation soon revealed that Brauburger, accompanied by his wife Kirsten Sarratt, made regular trips trafficking narcotics mainly in Cheyenne, Casper, Riverton, the Wind River Reservation, and Green River,” the press release states. “As his operation continued, Brauburger enlisted the help of Henry Gutierrez and John Clark. Brauburger was also charged with possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.”

U.S. Attorney Bob Murray said that the case “demonstrates our commitment to stopping the flow of methamphetamines into our communities, especially those with vulnerable populations who face addiction. Our strategy is to reduce the availability of methamphetamine throughout Wyoming by using a prosecutor-led, multi-agency approach to combat drug trafficking. We do this by targeting suspicious activity, using top-notch investigative work and tirelessly pursuing tips from the local community.”
