CASPER, Wyo. — Authorities have determined that an anonymous report of a bomb at Casper College is unsubstantiated, and the scene has been cleared Thursday afternoon, according to Casper Police Department spokesperson Rebekah Ladd.
The determination was made with the help of the FBI, which told local officials that the same non-credible threat had been issued at other educational institutions in the region, Ladd said.
The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
The college was evacuated around 3 p.m. Thursday after central dispatch received the anonymous report. Ladd reported that the scene was cleared shortly before 5 p.m.
