UPDATE: The activity was the result of a federal search and arrest warrant charging a Casper man as a felon in possession of a firearm.

CASPER, Wyo. — Two suspects were observed being taken into custody in a Casper neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon as the result of an investigation by Casper police and regional Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents.

Casper Police Department Sgt. Tony Stedille said late Wednesday that one suspect was being investigated by ATF for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Stedille said some controlled substances were also located on the premises.

Law enforcement arrived at the residence on the 1300 block of South Washington Street around 1 p.m., and activity was still ongoing as of 4:45 p.m.
