CASPER, Wyo. — A special unit of the Casper Police Department is executing a search warrant at the New Day Spa in central Casper on Thursday, Dec. 8. Officers arrived at the business at 504 S. Durbin St. around noon.

The search is the result of a year-long investigation into suspected “sexual acts, prostitution, and human trafficking” associated with the massage parlor, according to Sgt. Josh Albrecht.

Sgt. Albrecht told Oil City News on Thursday evening that one suspect had been arrested.

Albrecht is part of the department’s Problem-Oriented Response Team. Informally referred to as a “street crimes” unit, PORT investigates — and aims to preemptively address — factors driving broader crime trends within the community. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
