CASPER, Wyo. — Eight Natrona County School District employees recently earned National Board Certifications in their respective professions.

The district’s Board of Trustees recognized and honored four of them at its regular meeting April 22.

“National Board Certification measures a professional’s practice against high and rigorous standards,” according to the district’s Facebook page.

Certification includes activities that demonstrate the candidate’s proficiency and can include clinical fellowships, technical analysis and demonstration, peer reviews, application of competency indicators and evaluations of the performance indicators related to the field.

These are the employees who received certifications:

  • Heidi Haass – School Nurse, National Board for Certification of School Nurses
  • Breighanne Lawrence – Occupational Therapist, National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy
  • Candace Pena – Speech Language Pathologist, American Speech Language Hearing Association
  • Jason Wynia – Head Custodian-Maintenance and Operations at Casper Classical Academy, National Association for Educational Office Professionals
  • Cheyenne Morrison-Lehnen – School Psychologist, Nationally Certified School Psychologist
  • Molly Read – Occupational Therapist, National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy
  • Courtney Schendt – School Psychologist, Nationally Certified School Psychologist
  • David Sibbett – School Counselor, National Board of Certified Counselors
