Bobbie Lou Hackleman: 1951 – 2024

Bobbie Lou Hackleman, 72, of Casper, Wyoming passed away at her home on April 22, 2024, of heart failure. She was born on May 3, 1951, to Robert L. Duthie and Patricia H. Duthie of Riverton, Wyoming.

Bobbie graduated from Riverton High School, Class of ’69. Following her graduation, she went to Salt Lake City, Utah for cosmetology at the Cosmetology School of Design. Soon after returning to Riverton, Wyoming she went to work at the Teton. After a few years of working and enjoying bowling, she met the love of her life, Darrel Lee Hackleman, they were married on January 16, 1977. They celebrated 47 years together. They settled in Casper, Wyoming in 2000. They have four children and three grandchildren who she thoroughly loved and enjoyed.

Bobbie did hair for over 53 years. After moving to Casper, Wyoming in 2000 Bobbie went to work at Smart Styles then at Popular Living Center for 7 years. And then she went to work at Shepard of Valley for 13 years, finally retiring in 2022. Bobbie loved to keep house and her favorite color was blue. You could always catch Bobbie watching Gunsmoke in late afternoon or evening.

In addition, to her parents, Patricia Helen Peckham and Robert L. Duthie, she was predeceased by a brother, Louis Fredrick Duthie; as well as her in-;aws, James Darrel Hackleman and Janet Lee Hackleman.

Survivors include her husband, Darrel Lee Hackleman; and their four children: Tara (Bart) of Casper, Robert (Launa) Hackleman of Casper, Andrea Shiers of Riverton, and Bryan Hackleman of Casper; as well as her brother, David (Linda) Duthie of Riverton; a sister, Donna (Louis) Meeks of Pavillion; another sister, Patricia Hatle of Riverton. Bobbie’s grandchildren were: Aurora Bowden of Loveland, Colorado, Aydan Capshaw and Everett Hackleman of Casper. She had numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life of remembrance will be Sunday May 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elks Lodge in Riverton, Wyoming.


Kenneth Ord Colpitts: 1946 – 2024

Ken Colpitts, 77, longtime Gillette resident, passed away on April 16 in Rapid City, South Dakota after a short battle with RSV exacerbated his other health conditions.

A Celebration of life will be August 3, 2024 at the Pat Mueller Shelter at Dalby Fishing Lake in Gillette, Wyoming.


Frank Gerald Holscher: 1936 – 2024

Frank Gerald Holscher, 87, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away April 21, 2024 at his home. Frank was born October 29, 1936 to Louis and Kathryn (Hennsey) Holscher in Denver, Colorado. After a short period in Denver and Scottsbluff, Nebraska, his family made their life-long home in Casper, Wyoming. Frank attended grade school of St. Anthony’s. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1954 and from Casper College in 1956 with an Associate Degree.

Frank joined the United States Army in 1958 and served in Germany as a Field Medical Technician. After his honorable discharge Frank married Helen Theresa McVaney on August 12, 1961. They had two sons, Lou and Jim. Frank worked for Safeway before entering his career as a firefighter with the Casper Fire Department, retiring after 20 years as a Captain.

Frank enjoyed the outdoors of Wyoming – especially fishing at his brother Tom’s place on the North Platte and pheasant hunting. His passion in life was all things physical fitness, especially running, which he started prior to the running craze in the 1970s. He ran everyday most days upward of five miles. After he could no longer run he transitioned to working out with his wife, Helen. Frank also loved learning everything he could about military history, music, and sports. He had the gift of humor, which he used to make strangers friends and entertain family and friends. His favorite moments were spent at many family events over the years.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Lou and Kathryn; brother, Tom Holscher; sisters, Kathryn Tripeny and Ann O’Keefe.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; sons, Lou and Jim; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

We know Frank would like to thank the staff of Dr. Mickelson, the VA, the pharmacists at Ridley’s for their care, as well as Jerry and the Lifetime Fitness crew.

There will be a service for Frank on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, located at 400 Country Club Rd, Casper, Wyoming, 82609. Interment will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, located at 80 Veterans Dr., Evansville, Wyoming, 82636.

Christine “Krysa” Helen Puzella: 1947 – 2024

Krysa “Christine” Helen Puzella, 76, of Hamtramck, Michigan, passed away in Casper, Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

Chris was born to the late Josephine and Stanislaw Sternicki in Osnabrück, Germany on December 5, 1947. Her family immigrated to the United States in 1950. Chris became a naturalized citizen in the early 1970’s. Chris was raised in the Detroit area. Chris graduated from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan with a bachelor degree in accounting.

Chris would often be found lost in a book and would be thrilled to spend time in bookstores or libraries. Her love of books led to Chris being an avid book collector. Chris’ favorite books were non-fiction with a focus on WWII. Anyone who knew Chris knew she loved ice cream and peanut M&M’s. Chris would often tease people who didn’t bring her either sweet treat.

Chris is survived by her five children: John, his wife Kathy, their two children, Amanda and Bobby, and three grandchildren: Almont, Michigan; Veronica Grooms, her husband Brian, their three children: Brandon, Jared and Robert and six grandchildren, Utica, Michigan; Bill, his wife Jennifer, their two children, Ryann and Anthony, Mt. Clemens, Michigan; Michael, his wife Dena, their four children: Elijah, Kaiden, Tripp, and Krysianna, Casper, Wyoming; and Tim, his husband Justin, Detroit, Michigan. Chris is also survived by her brother, John and his wife Bedelia; her brother, Chet, his wife Mary; and several nieces and nephews. Chris is preceded in death by her brother, Pete and her parents.

Services will be held in Casper, Wyoming on Tuesday, April 30 at Hope Church, 620 South Walnut at 6:30 p.m. with an ice cream bar to follow and a service in Michigan, Wednesday, June 19 at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Twp, MI at 2:00 p.m. with a luncheon to follow.
