(Casper, Wyo) – Free Film Friday is making a return of heroic proportions when Avengers: Endgame rolls out Friday, April 26 at The America Stadium Theatre in downtown Casper.
Last seen in 2011, you would have needed Dr. Strange’s time stone to experience Free Film Friday all these years later. But the program, which combines a movie premiere with a business networking opportunity has been resurrected by Oil City News, Adbay, Wyomovies and the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce.
“It’s a legit reason to skip work but also be ‘working’ at the same time,” says event organizer Shawn Houck. “And what better way to start than with the biggest movie of the year, Avengers: Endgame?”

As in previous years, each session begins with a short, educational presentation covering a variety of business-friendly topics like marketing, branding, recruitment or networking, followed by a free screening of a major Hollywood film. During this month’s presentation, Oil City News plans a major announcement (Vibranium discovered outside of Midwest? Peter Quill and Gamora spotted having wine at Firerock? Casper native kills Thanos?) “You’ll have to be there to find out,” Houck explains, “but be sure to RSVP because seating is quite limited.”
Avengers: Endgame is the first of several 2019 Free Film Fridays — future events are expected to be announced in May. “We’re very grateful to our partners at the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce, Wyomovies and Oil City News,” says Houck. “Through their sponsorship, these organizations are building a thriving community of small businesses and supporting the culture of entrepreneurship in the Casper area.”
To reserve a pair of seats for your business, you must RSVP at FreeFilmFriday.com. Then, bring your business card to The America Theatre on Friday, April 26, which will serve as your ticket and entry into some fantastic door prizes. Doors open at 7:30 a.m., and the presentation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Seating is very limited, and even with half of Earth’s population wiped out, a sell-out crowd is expected.
