What better way to support women than drinking craft beer and shopping for organic period, beauty, and wellness products? Maddy from SHE.CO (IG: SHE.CO, FB: She. Wyoming) joins Frontier Brewery for this one-of-a-kind pop-up event supporting women’s wellness and self-care. Maddy and her team will set up shop in Frontier’s beautifully remodeled taproom from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 8.
SHE.CO takes a natural approach to Women’s wellness. Maddy Miller, the owner and creator of SHE.CO, sat down with Oil City for a little Q&A session.

Q: What was the defining moment when you cultivated SHE.CO?
A: I have always had the idea of a store dedicated to female products. When I was 11, I started my period and thought it was weird that women didn’t have their own store to buy tampons or pads and/or other wellness products. With a stigma behind purchasing these products, it just made sense to make the experience comfortable.
When I turned 12, I started getting bad migraines associated with my period. My migraines were so bad I was willing to try anything, and this is where my wellness journey began. Unfortunately, I learned that my period products were toxic to my body and causing further health issues. However, my periods were better all around just by switching to organic products.
It wasn’t until I was 16 I finally brought up the idea to my mom. She said, “Let’s do it.” So that is how SHE.CO was born.

Q: What period products do you use?
A: I only use period underwear and reusable pads. Period underwear has changed my life! I love them and recommend them. SHE.CO carries an assortment of sizes and brands.
Q: What can women expect to see in SHE.CO pop-up shop on Saturday?
A: A variety of organic period, self-care, and beauty products. Plus, tees, tanks, and home goods. Of course, I will have my popular Mad Moss supplement, one of my favorites. It is an alga from the sea that gives our body the minerals and nutrients to thrive. It also has many benefits like weight loss, energy, joint pain, skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, acne), thyroid health, immunity, fights against cancer, neuroprotection, fertility, health, hair, and skin, and the list goes on.

Q: What best advice can you give women when choosing feminine products?
A: Be conscious and aware of what products you put in your most vulnerable areas. They need to look into what is in the products and what side-effects they can have on their bodies. Especially hormones.
SHE.CO supports women by educating and empowering them to take back their health.
