For many Wyoming families, homeownership represents stability, security, and years of hard work. But unexpected life events such as job loss, medical expenses, rising costs, or financial hardship can make it difficult to keep up with mortgage payments. To help homeowners understand their options and avoid foreclosure, Wyoming Housing Network is offering a free online Foreclosure Prevention Webinar on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026.
The webinar is designed to provide practical information and resources for homeowners who may be struggling to make mortgage payments or who want to better understand the foreclosure process before financial challenges become overwhelming.
Participants will hear directly from a HUD-certified housing counselor who specializes in helping families navigate difficult financial situations. The webinar will cover steps homeowners can take if they fall behind on their mortgage, communication strategies for working with mortgage services, and options that may help families stay in their homes.
“Many homeowners don’t realize they have options until it’s too late,” says Manuela Ortiz, Housing Counselor Manager. “Our goal is to provide trusted information and connect people with resources that can help them make informed decisions before a crisis occurs.”
The free webinar is part of Wyoming Housing Network’s ongoing commitment to supporting housing stability throughout the state. Through education, counseling, and developing affordable homes in communities that need them, the organization works with individuals and families to overcome housing challenges and achieve long-term financial success.
Housing counselors can often help homeowners explore solutions such as loan modifications, repayment plans, forbearance options, budgeting assistance, and other programs that may be available based on their unique circumstances. By seeking assistance early, homeowners may have a greater chance of avoiding foreclosure and protecting their financial future.
The webinar is open to Wyoming residents and there is no cost to attend. Register by clicking this link: us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/CuiXkmn8SyS29Ez2vggmTg.
