Common Sense Republicans for Wyoming has released its 2026 Republican Primary Voter Guide. “Our endorsements are candidates from contested races with Freedom Caucus candidates who accepted our endorsement and want to create and support legislation that funds our institutions and infrastructure,” said Scott Ortiz, co-founder of CSRFW.
For Natrona County Republican Primary Voters, CSRFW has endorsed:
- Eric Barlow – Governor
- Robert Short – Secretary of State
- Steve Harshman – Superintendent of Public Instruction
- Kevin Helling – State Senator 27
- Marcia Neumiller – State Senator 27
- Lisa Engebretsen – State Senator 29
- Christopher Dresang – State Representative 35
- Brian Costello – State Representative 37
- Robert L. Hendry – State Representative 38
- Elissa Campbell – State Representative 56
- Edis Allen – State Representative 62
“These candidates believe in Wyoming and want to create and support legislation that funds our institutions and infrastructure, and they approved being included in our Voter Guide,” Ortiz continued. “We have an event this Thursday, July 16th, from 5 pm to 9 pm at the David Street Station where you can meet some of the candidates for Natrona state legislative seats and learn more about CSRFW.”
CSRFW is a political action committee that launched this spring. Founded by Wyoming residents Scott Ortiz and Emily Madden, CSRFW’s mission is “to help Wyoming folks find the facts, to see through the fog of misinformation so that they have the information necessary to vote for the best candidates — candidates who believe in adequate funding for schools, towns, EMS, law enforcement, UW, health care, and economic growth. Candidates who run on issues for Wyoming people, not outside interests.”
In addition to the Voter Guide, CSRFW has been posting videos explaining which pieces of Freedom Caucus legislation they oppose and why.
“As we have shared on our social media accounts and website, the Freedom Caucus continues to push legislation and tax cuts that would have effectively defunded the University of Wyoming. That legislation would have gutted funding for schools, police/fire/EMS, hospitals, and small, rural communities. We support candidates and legislators who believe in Wyoming and believe in funding Wyoming,” Ortiz said.
