Join us at the Science Zone on Friday, August 28th for our annual charity event Elemental Evening, a night to support the museum with science-themed dinner and drinks. There’ll also be scientific demonstrations, prize raffles, and silent and live auctions. As a special bonus, guests will get the very first sneak peek at the first phase of our Zoo Zone renovation!
Let’s back up a bit.
What is the Science Zone? The Science Zone is a museum that utilizes innovative exhibits, programs, and outreach to promote informal STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) education throughout the State of Wyoming.
We accomplish the above through: Permanent, Rotating and Traveling Exhibits, Summer Science Camps, After-School Science Classes, Wee Science Preschool Programs, Outreach Programs, Special Events, Birthday Parties, Computer Science & Technology, and live demonstrations. We seek to inspire curiosity.
Why is the Science Zone raising money? We’ve established a scholarship program to support students from low-income families to ensure our educational programs are accessible to everyone in our community. Moreover, the scholarships are also available for teachers’ utilization to bring their classes in for lessons. We’ve also expanded our programming to 16 of the state’s counties, with reaching all 23 as our big goal in the coming years. The money we raise at Elemental Evening will help us support and grow these programs and make hands-on STEAM education available for everyone.

If you’d like to help support our mission, tickets to the event are $125 for a seat, or our sponsorship levels start at $750 for a table of 8. Some of the items we’re delighted to be auctioning off this year include hot air balloon rides, a beachside apartment stay in Brazil, golfing in Jackson Hole, and much more!
