CASPER, Wyo. – As jobless counts rise due to COVID-19 shutdowns, the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies is scheduling Mobile Food Pantries across the state.

According to a release sent on Friday morning, the pantries will feature a “drive-thru” model to help protect the public and staff from possible coronavirus transmission.

Anyone looking for more information on the times and locations of the drive-thru food pantries are encouraged to visit the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies’ website.

Volunteers are also welcomed but must be pre-registered, according to the release. Volunteers can call Myriam at 307-232-4020.

The mobile pantries are scheduled to start next week, starting with Worland on March 31.

Pantries will then be then show up in Torrington, Afton, Evanston, Rock River, Medicine Bow, Kaycee, Riverton, Laramie, Moorcroft, Gillette, Buffalo, Aspen T Park, Worland and Sheridan.
