LARAMIE, Wyo. — The No. 3–seeded Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team dropped a 4–2 decision in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Tennis Championship. The Cowgirls were bested by the No. 6 seed, Colorado State. UW closes the season at 16–10 overall.

Wyoming got behind early, much like it did in last week’s match against CSU as it dropped the doubles point. Violetta Borodina and Sophie Zehender won the Cowgirls’ lone match in doubles, winning in shutout fashion at the No. 1 spot, 6–0. The duo closes the 2024 campaign with a single-season program record, 28 wins together.

In singles, the Cowgirls came up short, getting just a pair of victories, winning at No. 4 and No. 5. Jeselle Ante (no. 4) and Nikol Dobrilova (no. 5) got Wyoming’s two wins, both in straight sets. Ante came out on top 6–2 and 6–3 while Dobrilova was able to hold on for a pair of 7–5 victories in her contest.
