CASPER, Wyo. — The “RR 316” fire near Hanna, Wyoming led to the evacuation of the entire town on Saturday, destroyed a fire engine and burned over the town’s water treatment plant.

Residents were able to return home Sunday after evacuations were lifted, but the fire is still burning, according to the Bureau of Land Management Wyoming.

BLM Wyoming said at around noon on Monday, Sept. 7 that the fire “was mapped at 14,201 acres today and remains 20% contained.”
