CASPER, Wyo. — A search warrant executed at the Sleep Inn on Monday yielded 2.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and 2,600 suspected fentanyl pills, according to the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigations.

Two of the individuals in the room were charged Tuesday with the same six felonies, three for each drug: conspiracy to deliver, possession with intent to deliver and possession in a felony weight.

Quentin Fisher, 20, said in court Tuesday he had roots in Torrington, but had been living in Colorado. His co-defendant, 19-year-old Ashton Newbern, said he was from Guernsey. They said they had no ties to Casper, and Fisher indicated he was “just passing through.”

Fisher and Newbern are considered innocent unless pleading or proven guilty.

According to the DCI affidavit, multiple firearms were also found in the room, and Fisher allegedly had $4,000 cash on him.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Blaine Nelson told the judge Tuesday there was evidence to indicate the pair had been responsible for trafficking up to 10 pounds of methamphetamine in recent weeks.

Fisher was given a $150,000 cash-only bond, and Newbern was given a $100,000 cash-only bond.
