CASPER, Wyo. — Following a widespread power outage Friday that left more than 800 people in the Natrona County area without power, Rocky Mountain Power now reports that electricity has been mostly restored.

At the outage’s peak, about 835 RMP customers were experiencing outages, with many in the Cole Creek area affected.

At time of publication, the energy company’s live outage map shows only a handful of outages throughout the state, with the outage closest to Natrona County being in Rock Springs.

RMP officials cited strong winds as the cause for the power issues.
